Valor, Maitri, ciao. Cominciamo immediatamente parlando del nuovo "American Inquisition": questo album è pieno di significati contro molte delle cause dei mali della nostra società. Come possono questi argomenti influenzare con tanta energia le vostre canzoni?

-|-|-» Christian Death: Maximox Ciao! Ci scusiamo per il ritardo, è una lunga storia.
-|-|-» Maitri: Riteniamo che anche se molti dei temi delle nostre canzoni sembrano essere tristi o deprimenti riguardo questi argomenti, la musica dà all'ascoltatore la speranza. All'interno del testo che abbiamo incluso con significati inconsci, incentivi destinati a migliorare le cose.
-|-|-» Valor: Sì, stiamo davvero facendo un tentativo positivo atto a influenzare un cambiamento per il bene, anche se ispira una rivoluzione, che è ciò che è necessario, ma non necessariamente scontri nelle strade,è più simile ad una rivoluzione della mente, diventando consapevoli del mali della nostra società.

Nel nuovo album si possono ascoltare tutte le tecniche e le strategie stilistiche sempre collegate alla vostra identità goth rock, ma con alcune nuove varianti più scure e un pò più elettroniche. Possiamo anche trovare alcuni suoni etnico-sinfonici. Significa un adattamento dei Christian verso rotte musicali più attuali o è l'inizio di un nuovo processo di cambiamento?

-|-|-» Valor: Non stiamo tentando di diventare o cambiare in altri stili. Noi utilizziamo i vari sapori della musica più o meno nello stesso modo di uno chef internazionale che utilizza spezie provenienti da tutto il mondo in cucina. Per creare tutti i nuovi gusti da un'attenta miscela di suoni.

Secondo voi,come sta vivendo la religiosità questo nostro mondo, concetto che ora sembra rientrare in secondo piano, come tutte le altre cose spirituali? Cosa rimane oggi di tutto ciò che è spirituale e non materiale?

-|-|-» Valor: Ciò su cui ci stiamo focalizzando nel corso della storia della religione è che è stata uno strumento potente e spietato di leader, un modo per renderli conformi alla loro volontà di Dio, come un pretesto, sostenendo così come George Bush, che Dio è dalla loro parte? Se volete credere in un dio o divinità, non è questa la questione, la questione è "credete nel potere egoistico quando gli uomini ti chiedono o ti dicono di andare in battaglia, perché Dio è dalla loro parte?

Trovate ipocrita il modo di credere collettivo degli attuali cristiani?

-|-|-» Valor: è più profondo che ipocrita. Se guardiamo la storia si vedrà che il cristianesimo, in tutte le forme che ha preso lezioni dal Vaticano, il quale è regolato dal libro, che è la Bibbia, che è stato concepito al Councel di Nicea nel 325ad. Da allora vi è stato un flusso interminabile di bugie. La Bibbia non è la parola di Dio, è stato scritto e curato da uomini, gli uomini ricchi e potenti. Non si tratta di sapere se si crede in Gesù o meno, è se si crede che la storia sia raccontata dagli uomini, la maggior parte dei quali sono bugiardi.

Siete giustamente orgogliosi di tutti i vostri vecchi lavori o esiste in voi un particolare rammarico per qualche errore che avete commesso in passato?

-|-|-» Maitri: Come molti artisti troviamo sempre problemi in molte delle opere che abbiamo fatto. Con "American Inquisition" non siamo mai stati così soddisfatto di ogni piccolo dettaglio.
-|-|-» Valor: Alcuni precedenti album hanno sofferto perché non c'era abbastanza denaro, il tempo o la giusta situazione. Quando si è costretti dalle case discografiche a completare un album di cui non si è soddisfatti ci ferisce. Che non accada più di nuovo.

Valor, Maitri, Nate, come nasce una canzone di Christian Death? Ci potete descrivere il nucleo e l'evoluzione delle vostre tracce?

-|-|-» Valor: Tutti i brani sono scritti dal cuore, di solito prima le parole, poi la musica, è progettata per esprimere l'emozione dietro le parole.

Molte band di utilizzano la musica come strumento per la trasmissione di idee e messaggi ma solo per una strategia commerciale. Quale strategia avete adottato in "American Inquisition" per colpire il pubblico nel suo punto sensibile?

-|-|-» Maitri: Noi non cerchiamo di riflettere su un livello commerciale, abbiamo voluto fare un album che si possa godere anche se nessun altro ne ha mai sentito parlare. Abbiamo però pensato molto profondamente sui nostri messaggi e le canzoni. Riteniamo che sia importante utilizzare il potere della comunicazione per offrire un effetto positivo sulle persone che le ascoltano.

Che cosa rispondete a coloro che probabilmente vi accusano di utilizzare argomentazioni simili a vendere più copie?

-|-|-» Valor: Non siamo affatto come i Nine Inch Nails, né possiamo fare il denaro che Trent Reznor fa, oltretutto è la casa discografica che commercializza i prodotti.

I Christian Death compongono più per i loro stessi piaceri o lo fanno stimolati dal pubblico?

-|-|-» Maitri: Facciamo musica per i nostri gusti, se la gente gradisce ciò è più che grande.
-|-|-» Valor: La musica è migliore quando l'ascoltatore ed il creatore godono insieme. La masturbazione è divertente, ma il sesso è meglio!

Cosa ricordate di Rozz? Secondo i vostri ricordi, se lui oggi fosse quì,in quale modo avrebbe influenzato il vostro nuovo album?

-|-|-» Valor: Ho sempre cercato di ricordare solo i tempi migliori. Ho anche qualche ricordo privato che terrò dentro me. Ho perso molti amici, morti. L'ultima cosa che voglio fare è pensare ciò che avrebbe potuto essere.

Quanto tempo dedicate alla musica? ... Cosa fete nel vostro "tempo libero"?

-|-|-» Valor: La mia vita consiste in Musica, Sesso, Musica, Sesso e la sofferenza

Ho letto che avete programmato un lungo tour europeo con le date che toccheranno Francia, Inghilterra e Spagna. Che impressione hai circa il pubblico appartenente a questi Stati? Riservate prossime sorprese per noi?

Hi Valor, Maitri. We starting immediately talking about your new "American Inquisition": this album is full of meanings against many of the causes of the ills our society. How can these arguments influencing with so much energy your songs?

-|-|-» Christian Death: Hello Maximox!! Sorry for the delay, it is a long story.
-|-|-» Maitri: We feel that although many of the subjects of our songs seem to be about sad or depressing topics, the music gives the listener hope. Inside the lyrics we have laced the meanings with subconscious incentives to improve things.
-|-|-» Valor: Yes we are really making a positive attempt to influence a change for the good, even if it inspires a revolution, which is what is needed but not necessarily riots in the streets, more like a revolution of the mind, becoming aware of the ills of our society.

In the new album we can hear all the technical and stylistic strategies always linked to your goth rock identity,but with some new variants more dark and few more elettronic.We can even find some ethnic and symphonic sounds.Does it means an adapting of the Christian Death's to music routes more current or is the beginning of a new changing process?

-|-|-» Valor: We are not attempting to become or change to other styles. We use the various flavours of music much the same way an international chef uses spices from around the world in cooking. To create all new tastes by the careful mixture of sounds.

According to you,how our world is living the religiosity that now seems falling in a second plane as all the other spiritual matters? What remains today of all that is spiritual and not material?

-|-|-» Valor: What we are focusing on is how throughout history religion has been a tool of ruthless and powerful leaders, a way to make them comply to their will with God as an excuse, claiming as does George Bush, that God is on their side? If you want to believe in a god or gods, that is not at question, the question is “do you believe selfish power hungry men when they ask or tell you to go into battle because God is on their side?

Do You find hypocritical the collective way of believing of the actual Christians?

-|-|-» Valor: It is deeper than hypocracy. If you look at history you will see that Christianity, in all it's forms has taken it's lessons from how the Vatican set out the rule book, that being the Bible, which was conceived at the Councel of Nicea in the year 325ad. Since then there has been an endless stream of lies. The Bible is not the word of God, it was written and edited by men, rich and powerful men. It is not about whether you believe in Jesus or not, it is whether you believe the story as told by men, most of whom are liars.

Are you rightly proud of all your old works or exists in you a particular regret for some mistake you've done in the past?

-|-|-» Maitri: Like many artists we always find problems in many of the works we have done. With American inquisition we have never been so satisfied with every little detail.
-|-|-» Valor: Some previous album suffered because there was not enough money, time or the right situation. When are forced by record companies to finish albums that we were not happy with it always hurt us. That will never happen again

Valor, Maitri, Nate, how born one song of Christian Death? Can you describe us the core and the evolution of your tracks?

-|-|-» Valor: All songs are written from the heart, usually the lyrics first, then the music is designed to express the emotion behind the lyrics.

Many bands use music as an instrument for the transmission of messages and ideas only for commercial trades.What strategy you involved in "American Inquisition" to hit the audience in its sensitive point?

-|-|-» Maitri: We did not try to think on a commercial level, we just wanted to make an album that we could enjoy even if no one else ever heard it. We did however think very deeply about our messages in the songs. We feel it is important to use the power of communication to deliver a positive effect on the people taht hear it.

What you'll respond to those who probably will acknowledge you to use similar arguments to sell more copies?

-|-|-» Valor: We are nothing like Nine Inch Nails in that world nor do we make any thing like the money Trent Reznor Does, besides it is the record labels that commercialize things

The Christian Death compose more for themselves pleasures or do this stimulated by its audience?

-|-|-» Maitri: We make music for our tastes , if people like it too then great.
-|-|-» Valor: Music is better when the creator and listener enjoy it together. Masturbation is fun but sex is better!

What you remember about Rozz? According to your memories of him, if he were here now between us today,in what way he currently would influenced your new album?

-|-|-» Valor: I always try to only remember the good times. I also have some very private memories which I will keep to myself. I have lost many friends to death. The last thing I wish to do is think about what might have been.

How much time you devoted to music? ... What you do in your "free time"?

-|-|-» Valor: My life consists of Music, Sex, Music, Sex and suffering

I read that you planned a long European Tour with the dates that will touch France, England and Spain .What impression you have about the public belonging to these States? .. There'S some confidential next few surprise for us?
