Biografia
Taranto, 1987:
Oxilia è la band primordiale con la quale i fratelli Lanzo si sono affacciati all'Universo musicale, i quali, oltre a coverizzare Bauhaus, Cure, Christian Death, Alien Sex Fiend ecc., hanno scritto vari brani originali (e mai editati); 'Ghiaccio' e 'Nullità' sono i capitoli più riusciti di ottima scuola darkwave U.K.
Taranto, Ottobre 1998:
nascono i Visionary Folowers (part I).
Per cinque anni lavorano intensamente all'arrangiamento di numerose covers di gruppi quali Fields of the Nephilim (...forever remain), the Sound, Joy Division, Litfiba, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Bauhaus, the Sisters of Mercy e Stooges, suonando soprattutto nella Città dei due mari ed a Roma (loro fisiche e distanti residenze), dove la band ha tenuto vari concerti, riscuotendo il positivo consenso del pubblico.
Taranto/Roma 1998/2004:
Durante questo periodo i fratelli Lanzo hanno collaborato a vari progetti esterni musicali: in particolare, Massimiliano ha suonato con gli Urod band romana di darkwave, ha partecipato all'album 'Nothing' dei More (GB Productions), ha concretizzato un suo progetto originale - The Skyspyrals - Elettronica e Dark Ambient con l’uso di sintetizzatori analogici; Christian invece ha cantato con i Divergo e con gli Helena Spina, partecipando a importanti rassegne, festivals musicali ed aprendo la data tarantina dei Diaframma.

In seguito alla dipartita di due membri della band (ad agosto 2005 hanno suonato di supporto al concerto tarantino dei Planet Funk), i Visionary Flowers (part II) scrivono concretamente della loro visione/concezione artistica presso il Visionary Lab di Taranto, il 'Locale', in cui tenui luci blu e rosse illuminano il tempo!
Oltre a studi in ambito grafico, artistico, editing e realizzazione di alcune colonne sonore per cortometraggi, il loro sound sfocia chiaramente nei circuiti oscuri del rock psichedelico, costituito principalmente da tre capitoli:
- asfissiante tappeto sonoro;
- immediata sollecitazione fisica e psichica;
- una parte chiaramente emotiva.
Queste sonorità le definiscono 'Psychodark', momenti di pura espressione di potenza e ciclicità dalla durata ben definita, con parti claustrofobiche ed ossessionanti di chitarra monotematica e tagliente come lama di rasoio, armonie ed arpeggi con un particolare menzione a Daniel Ash e Robert Hampson, indecifrabili feedbacks dagli amplificatori, tratti di batteria prima aritmici e poi maledettamente pesanti con eterni accompagnamenti sul Ride, sperimentazioni syntho-analogiche con tastiere Korg e PC, il basso profondo, cupo, assassino! Reverberizzanti e lisergiche le loro espressioni vocali. Colonne sonore che in semantica libertà vestono i testi di colori opachi, espressioni intimistico-noir di ambienti visionari che Sirihanne (Musa ispiratrice) detta a chi descrive.. un attimo di una incompiuta realtà!
Nonostante sprovvisti attualmente di etichetta e distribuzione, stanno comunque lavorando al primo disco, 'The Light', interamente suonato ed arrangiato da loro due; e come tradizione vuole e come Madre Storia tramanda (Haskins, Hasheton, Reid, Wright) si avrà a che fare con un'altra coppia di fratelli!

Taranto, 1987:
Oxilia is the name of the first band formed by the Lanzo’s brothers.
It was their first ticket for the universe of music. They both made covers of Bauhaus, Cure, Christian Death, Alien Sex Fiend and many others and composed their own tracks (never released) like 'Ghiaccio and “Nullità' their best made pieces of UK darkwave tradiction.
Taranto/Roma 1998/2004: Birth of the Visionary Flowers (part I)
Throughout 5 years the Lanzo’s worked hard for covers of bands lke Fields of Nephilim (forevr remain..), the Sound, Joy Division, Litfiba, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Bauhaus, the Sisters of Mercy and Stooges, performing their concerts in Taranto and Rome (the Lanzo’s live one in each city) and getting always audience positive responses.
In those years the Lanzo’s worked mainly with others bands: Massimiliano was with the Urod, a darwave band in Rome, did guitars’ work for the album “Nothing” of More (GB Productions) and he himself made his own project The Skyspyrals Electronic and Dark Ambient with the use of analogic synths; Christian instead sung with the Divergo and the Helena Spina, taking part in several important shows, festivals and the opening concert of the Diaframma in Taranto.

After the departure of 2 members of the band (in August 2005 they were as support band at the concert of the Planet Funk), the Visionary Flowers (part II) wrote concretely their concept of vision/concept of art at the Visionary Lab of Taranto, 'Il Locale', yet its red and blu lights shine the time! Other than music, they work with graphics, editing and soundtracks for short films, their sound clearly go towards the dark ways of psychedelic rock, made mainly of three chapters:
- Endless base sound
- Quick physical and psychical response
- Emotional part
They call these
'Psychodark', moments of pure power and cycles well defined, with claustrophobic parts and obsessive monothematic sharpened guitar, sounds and armonies with special mention to Daniel Ash and Robert Hampson, complex feedbacks from amplifiers, set of drums sessions first rithmless and then damn presnt together with the Ride, experimental synth analogic session with Korg and PC, bass gloomy and murder!. Reverbs and lisergic their vocalisms.
Soundtracks which dress scripts of various shading clours, inner noir visionary ambients that Shiranne (their Musa inspiring) dictates to the writers…a flash of unaccomplished reality!
Although they are yet to have a producer, they are working on their first album, 'The Light', written, composed and featured by the them. And like tradition demands and Mother History shows (Haskins, Hasheton, Reid, Wright) the world will have to cope with one more couple of brothers!
