Biografia
Hesperos è il nome della prima stella vespertina, la stella preferita da Venere, la dea dell’amore. Il simbolo di Venere è la mela ed infatti, tagliando in due questo frutto, possiamo scorgere una stella su ciascuna delle due metà. Le Esperidi, inoltre, sono tre figure mitologiche che si prendono cura di un albero di mele e che cantano con voce melodiosa. Hexperos è il nuovo progetto del soprano Alessandra Santovito ( ex membro fondatore della band Gothica) e di Francesco Forgione (contrabbasso e tastiere). Anche in questo nuovo progetto, Alessandra ha coinvolto degli ottimi musicisti quali Flavia Prosperi al flauto traverso, Alberto Biondi alle percussioni e Claudio Di Bucchianico all’oboe. Grazie alle sue numerose esperienze di vario genere, il soprano Alessandra riesce a cantare in vari stili e ad evocare con la sua voce e con la musica vari generi musicali da quello etnico nordeuropeo a quello mediterraneo, dall’antico al moderno. Hexperos è musica d’amore e mistero. Il primo brano degli Hexperos è appena stato pubblicato sul nuovo doppio sampler CD della Cold Meat Industry intitolato “Flowers Made of Snow” L’uscita del primo album degli Hexperos è prevista entro l’anno sempre per la casa discografica C.M.I.

» Biography
Hexperos is the name of the first star that appears at twilight. This is also the favourite star of the goddess of love, Aphrodite; as a matter of fact, you can see a star in her symbol, the apple, when you cut it in two halves. Furthermore, the Hesperides are myths that care of a tree with golden apples and they sing with sweet voices.
Hexperos is the new project of the soprano Alessandra Santovito (ex founder member of Gothica) and Francesco Forgione (double bass and keyboard). Like in her previous music project, Alessandra has involved good musicians such as Flavia Prosperi at the transverse flute and Alberto Biondi at the percussion instruments in her project. Alessandra is a soprano, but thanks to her numberless experiences she can sing in various styles, so that her voice like her music shows various styles from the Mediterranean to the north European style, from the ancient to the modern style. Hexperos is music of love and mystery. The first Hexperos’ song is included in the new Cold Meat Industry sampler CDs “Flowers made of Snow”
