WHAT SUGGESTS YOU THE NAME 'POINT OF VIEW' ? IS IT ONLY AN ABSTRACT NAME OR THERE IS SOME OTHER MEANING ?

-|-|-» Patrick: Thats a famous question. I'm the founder of POV and its now more than 14 years ago. POV is the POV that I'm standing for.
Maybe its a bit abstract name. POV sounds good and is ok for electronic music. I think the name itsself is not so important more the sound with that the name is spoken.

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOUR MUSIC STYLE EXACTLY ?

-|-|-» Patrick : POP.. simply popular music ... ok ok, its electronic music, synthpop, electro ... so many packed styles ... but I often experimentalize with other music styles. its very more than synthpop ... its is pop!

DIRK, YOU TAKE CARE OF THE LYRICS AND THE KEYBOARDS. SPEAK US ABOUT THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BAND.

-|-|-» Patrick: I'm Patrick ... you know ;-) I'm always produce the music at the pov-studio. Further I'm managing the own pov record label and make all the other stuff together with other friends I'm studying with them. I make all the grafics, musicvideos and so on. Sebastian Pastor, a good friend ... he is managing all the internet-stuff and a further friend the internet-servers. We all studied 'informatics, computer sciences and media' (not the other pov-members) and have a wide potential and know how for that. Matthias is playing the keys on stage and is responsible for more and more actions.

BOTH YOU HAVE HAD PASSED EXPERIENCES IN OTHER BANDS. DIRK HAVE, FOR INSTANCE, PLAYED IN A BAND CALLED GREGORY'S RE-TOURN. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DID YOU PROPOSE?

-|-|-» Patrick : Dirk is loving OMD. His eyes are shining with that great band. He also loves like we all Depeche Mode, Erasure and so on as well. Further he likes other stuff like Garbage.

YOU OFFICIALLY HAVE THREE FULL CDS, ONE E.P. AND ONE MCD. HOW WAS BEEN YOUR RUN TO TODAY?

-|-|-» Patrick : The new stuff will be a fullplay CD, an album ... maybe together with an new musicvideo on that CD only! The video has finished and the song is calling 'catch me when I'm falling'. The problem is more the limited data-space, because the video is in HD and I'd like to distribute the video in that pixel-format within the album-CD. Further the album will be available via a payed download with a smaller price.

'F.O.U.R.' IS YOUR NEW FULL LENGHT, ANTICIPATED BY TWO GOOD VIDEOS, 'POW', 'INTO MY ARMS' AND 'SOMEBODY'. WE KNOW THAT THIS CD IS READY BUT YOU HAVE NOT FOUND THE RIGHT LABEL FOR THE DISTRIBUTION. WOULD YOU EXPLAIN US THE MOTIVE OF THIS DIFFICULTY? ..WHEN AND HOW IT WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SALE?

-|-|-» Patrick : We want to rename the albumname maybe. To find a perfect external record label is really difficult. On the other hand ... many labels closed this year like the famous dependent-records here in Germany. OffBeat exists no more longer ... NovaTekk exists no more longer. I will make it by myself and we are more effective.

WHAT DO YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT THE EUROPEAN ELECTRO SCENE? WHAT SEPARATES AND WHAT INSTEADS JOINS THIS KIND WITH THE ELECTRO MADE IN U.S.A.?

-|-|-» Patrick: I dont know the electro scene in USA. In Germany I know Steve Nagavi from AND ONE and he is doing a great job. Steffen Keth (De/Vision), he is doing a great job too ... Dirk knows him, is an friend.

HOW IT CHANGES YOUR SOUND WHEN YOU PLAY LIVE ?

-|-|-» Patrick: On stage you can find guitars, drums and further video animations for instance.
