Come nasce il progetto Bahntier e che aspettative hai per il futuro ?

-|-|-» Stefano: Il progetto nasce alla fine del 1999 per una mia personale ricerca verso le cosidette "sonorità industriali" che l'etichetta KarnaK/Ende ha deciso di concretizzare nella produzione di "Randome". Spero in futuro di riuscire a portare avanti questo progetto allargandolo anche a varie collaboraioni che già stanno nascendo con l'uscita di uno split tra noi i Chaos/Order e Kunt.

Avete in programma di partecipare ad altri eventi dopo la partecipazione al Metamatik 2002 ?

-|-|-» Stefano: Stiamo per organizzare una serie di concerti ed un Festival dedicato a Karnak per questo Autunno..

Come vedi l'attuale scena Power Electronics e Industrial: pensi che ci si stia muovendo verso direzioni inseplorate e interessanti o percepisci una crisi nel settore ?

-|-|-» Stefano: Trovo che etichette come Ant-Zen, Hands, Parametric ecc. stiano sfornando delle produzioni interessanti e soprattutto "nuove"... il problema secondo me è che alcuni gruppi esplodono con dei ottimi album, ma poi non riescono a trovare nuovi spunti per i sucessivi incamerandosi cosi' solo in alcune sonorità e ricerche che bloccano i loro percorso creativo. Penso poi che si tendi a confondere il concetto di "cultura industriale" che ha radici culturali e sociali molto profonde che alcuni gruppi nuovi ne recepiscono superficialmente solo l'immagine e la cornice, tralasciando l'aspetto fondamentale e cioè la ricerca e i suoi contenuti. Alcuni dicono di fare musica industriale non conoscendo i Throbbing Gristle o gli SPK non ti sembra un controsenso?

Che importanza riveste la dimensione live per il progetto Bahntier ?

-|-|-» Stefano: Il live completa quello che è contenuto nei cd, riuscendo grazie alla rapresentazione fisica e visiva a creare una "intimità" verso chi ci ascolta.
Grazie all'utilizzo di proiezzioni e siluette dò la possibilità di interagire direttamente con il pubblico eliminado quelle barriere che possono nascere quando stai su un palco.
Viviamo nell'era dove le informazioni vengono "sparate" senza misura sulla gente, bahntier vuole in un' ora di live sitentizzare tutto questo.

Senza parlare di influenze chi ritieni ti abbia dato di più musicalmente nella scena nazionale ed internazionale ?

-|-|-» Stefano: Scopro sempre gruppi nuovi e non mi fermo ad ascoltare solo musica industriale posso ascoltare i Numb come David Sylvian.
Dovrei quindi farti una lista abbastanza lunga ma evito di fartela.

Sei soddisfatto di "Randome" o c'è qualcosa che preferiresti rielaborare?

-|-|-» Stefano: E' difficile essere completamente soddisfatti quando si realizza un disco altrimenti non avresti voglia di farne altri,.. quello che manca in uno lo vorresti fare nel sucessivo e cosi' via.
"Randome" cerca di rappresentare bahntier in tutti i suoi personali aspetti che con il futuro vorrei sviluppare sistematicamente.

How project Bahntier was born and what expectations do you have for the future?

-|-|-» Stefano: The project was born in the end of 1999 for a personal search of mine towards the so-called "industrial acoustics" that Karnak/Ende label decided to make concrete with the production of "Randome". I hope in future to be able to continue with this project extending it also to different collaborations that are still borning with the exit of a split between us and Chaos/Order and Kunt.

Do you think that you will partecipate to other events after Metamatik 2002?

-|-|-» Stefano: We are near to organize a succession of concerts and a festival dedicated to Karnak for this autumn..

How do you see the present power electronic and industrial scene? Do you think that it's going to move towards unexplored and interesting directions or you feel a crisis in the sector?

-|-|-» Stefano: I think that labels as Ant-Zen, Hands, Parametric, etc… are turning out interesting productions and most of all "new"… the problem for me is that some groups start with beatiful albums, but then they can't find new ideas for the next one seizing only into some soundings and searches that stop they creative path. I also think that people tends to mingle the concept of "industrial culture" that has deep cultural and social roots and some new groups feel only superficially the image and the frame, leaving out the fondamental aspect that is the search and its contents. Some say they make industrial music but they don't know Throbbing Gristle or SPK, does it seem a contradiction, doesn't?

What kind of importance have the live dimension for Bahntier project ?

-|-|-» Stefano: Live completes what there is inside a cd, it's able thanks to fisical and visual representation to create an "intimity" with the listeners.
Thanks to the use of projections and silouhettes I create the possibility to interact directly with the audience removing the barriers that can grow when you are on stage.
We live in a period in which informations are "shooted" without measure to the people, Bahntier wants to sinthetize all of this in an hour live.

Without speaking of influences, who do you think that gave you more in national and international scene?

-|-|-» Stefano: I always discover new groups and I don't stop myself to listen only to industrial music, I can listen to Numb as I listen to David Sylvian.
I have to do a long enumeration but I avoid it.

Are you satisfied of "Randome" or there is something you prefer to draw up again?

-|-|-» Stefano: Iis difficult to be totally satisfied when you realize an album, otherwise you will not have the will to make others… what there's not in one you want to make it in the next and so on.
"Randome" tries to represent Bahntier in all of his personal aspects that in the future I would like to develop sistematically
