» ACCESSORY - LIVE IN MILANO (TRANSILVANIA) 15-2-2004

E.B.M.: la recensione del concerto degli Accessory non può che cominciare con queste tre magiche lettere... La loro performance è stata infatti all' insegna dell' elettronica più "fisica" ed emotiva.

La band di riferimento nell' impostazione del live restano i Front 242 a cominciare della disposizione del gruppo: due frontman che cantano davanti al pubblico e un tastierista (per l' occasione un sostituto) alle spalle seminascosto da synth,tastiere e campionatori.
Energia a volontà, alta professionalità e grande desiderio di coinvolgere il pubblico hanno caratterizzato l' intera esibizione: ma è proprio nominando la parola "pubblico" che andiamo a disseppellire le note più dolenti del live...
Pubblico? Quale pubblico? Quaranta-cinquanta persone nella più ottimistica delle ipotesi... delle quali almeno la metà seduta o al bancone del bar...

Davvero una cornice indegna ed inadeguata per un concerto che avrebbe dovuto, nelle intenzioni originarie, svilupparsi simbioticamente col calore e la partecipazione degli spettatori: che delusione !
Ad aprire la serata sono stati chiamati i Cephalgy con una discreta miscela di darkwave e electro penalizzata oltre che dalla già citata scarsità di presenti da una musica troppo debitrice nei confronti di realtà di per sè poco significative come i tedeschi Absurd Minds (a loro volta imitatori dei Project Pitchfork più ordinari).
Gli Accessory hanno invece aperto le danze con la trascinante "Strafbar" mentre un tagliente laser verde disegnava trame sul palco. Ovviamente l' album "Titan" è stato quello da cui provenivano il maggior numero di brani: in particolare estremamente azzeccate le versioni di "A Nation" e "And I say go" due tra i cavalli di battaglia del gruppo,caratterizzate da battiti avvolgenti e sonorità sintetiche e poderose.
L' ottima performance della band (che come già detto ha provato invano a coinvolgere l' audience in diverse occasioni) ha raggiunto i migliori picchi nei brani più adatti ai dancefloor EBM quali la "chimica" "Deadline", l' ipnotica "Matrix" e la devastante "Lifesaver".
Alla fine due soli bis hanno fatto da epilogo a un concerto che avrebbe meritato ben altra attenzione e che invece, come troppo spesso accade in quel di Milano,è passato del tutto e immeritatamente inosservato.
Basta dire per chiudere che c' era più gente a ballare nel doposerata che a vedersi il concerto...bah !.

Accessory – Live in Milan (Trasilvania Club) – Feb the 15th,2004-02-23 E.B.M. : this three magic letters are the only way to start my review for the Accessory concert…their performance has been in fact a sample of the most physical and emotional electro. Their reference band, during the stage are the Front 242 as you can see from their stage line-up with two front men singing in front of the people and half hidden by synths, keyboards and samplers, a keyboardist (not their official one in this case) at their shoulders. A lot of energy , great professionalism and a big desire to make the audience dance, have featured the whole show: but is writing the word “audience” that I am touching the worse point of the event….Audience? Which Audience? Forty or Fifty people (and I’m being optimistic) and half of them were sitting at tables or drinking near the bar…
Really an unsuitable, undeserved scenario for a show, which should has growing in symbiosis with the audience involvemnt: such a delusion instead!
Cephalgy have opened the night with a good mix of darkwave and electro with the limit of playing in front of few people and a music too much other bands-like (and plus not so great bands) such like Absurd Minds (who are already a faded Project Pitchfork version).
Accessory have started their show with the hit “Strafbar” while a sharp green laser light describing shapes on the stage. Obviously “Titan” tracks are where the band has picked up the main part of the show: particularly catchy “A Nation” and “And I say go” versions: two of the most successful ever band songs, with their synthetic and aggressive sound.
The excellent band performance has gone on with useless attempts to involve the almost dead audience and they have reached the top of the show with EBM club hits like the chemical “Deadline”, the hypnotic “Matrix” and the devastating “Lifesaver”
The show has ended with only two encores and what we can say about it is Accessory would have deserved another kind of welcome by Milan people who has been like in other occasions totally indifferent.
It’s sufficient to note there was more people on the dancefloor during the after-gig than watching the acts!
